7th BYMAT Conference:
Bringing Young Mathematicians Together

Sevilla, November 17th - 20th 2025

Organisers:
Facultad de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla
Instituto de Matemáticas de la Universidad de Sevilla

Welcome to the 7th edition of Bringing Young Mathematicians Together (BYMAT)!

An international conference aimed at young researchers, being a wonderful opportunity to showcase their work and establish new connections for their career.
The conference main target are PhD students, but it's also of utmost interest to master's students and undergraduate which are eager to introduce themselves in mathematical research.
There will be parallel sessions in different areas with short talks by the attendees, as well as a poster session. We will also have 4 plenary talks given by young professors and some workshops of general interest.
BYMAT is a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn about fellow young researchers and make connections in your research area and beyond. We encourage you to participate actively with a poster or a talk, and of course that you also enjoy Sevilla in your visit.
For any questions feel free to contact us at bymat@us.es and check our social networks for the latest updates.

Practical Information

We recommend the following accommodation options:

Sevilla is easy to reach from the main Spanish cities. Sevilla has an international airport (Sevilla-San Pablo Airport) and a main train station (Sevilla-Santa Justa) with a fast-track railway connecting Sevilla with Madrid as well as many other important cities in Spain.
  • Airport:

Sevilla-San Pablo Airport is about 10 km far from the city center. The most convenient ways to get to Sevilla is either by bus or by taxi.

  • Train:

Sevilla has good rail links to Barcelona, Cádiz, Córdoba, Jaén, Jerez de la Frontera, Granada, Huelva, Madrid, and Málaga. The fast–track AVE railway line provides a 2h 30min connection to Madrid every hour. For more information you can go to the train company website: https://www.renfe.com.

Sevilla–Santa Justa train station is connected to the city center by local bus lines C1, C2 and 32. Red painted city buses are the predominant public transportation.
